Michael Tuason
Product designer · enterprise & AI systems · 8+ years
I design for systems where failure is expensive. At Amazon, that meant zero-tolerance live event infrastructure for 160K+ concurrent viewers. At TIBCO, it meant enterprise workflows where a single bad data entry cascades into billing errors downstream. My Computer Science background means I work directly in the problem space with Product and Engineering — not around it.
How I work
Evidence before opinions
I use data and AI tools to find the real failure points before I sketch a single screen.
Close to Engineering
My Computer Science background lets me reason about feasibility and trade-offs directly with Engineering.
Designed for zero tolerance
Most of my work sits in systems where a bad decision is expensive — I default to reversible, testable changes.
Accessible by default
From enterprise forms to AiSL, accessibility is a starting constraint, not a final pass.
"I'm drawn to products that make me say, 'Yes, this is what I need.' — like someone had already thought through exactly what I'd need before I knew I needed it. That's the bar I set for myself on every project."
